Purity Blanket....

to my son... on the bring of manhood:

As you continue on the journey through your teen years I want to give you this blanket, But it's more than just a blanket... It's a reminder that one day the Lord will likely bring a wife to you and it will be your job to protect her, to honor her, to love her unconditionally. The most precious gift that the Lord will give you on this earth. In that love you will be given the task of protecting her dignity.

To protect her dignity is to remember that this promise is not only to love her but also to forsake all others. These teen years, they are confusing, hard and sometimes the constant flux is enough to drive a guy crazy. In the craziness I want you to always remember thisthis: your job as your wife's defender and protector has already started.

Protect your purity, protect your mind and protect your heart. Hold it close and don't fall into the lusts of the flesh that this world pushes down your throat every single day. Anytime you feel tempted to just let go and enjoy the rotten fruit the world is selling, stop and remember that one day your beautiful bride WILL come.

I pray that on that day, that through the Lord alone you are able to place this blanket into her arms and tell her how you valiantly fought for her dignity in order to present to her yourself, pure of heart in a broken world.

 This is your
 purity blanket

I love you SO much

Amazima

It's been a year now since I read
A book that was sweet nectar to my soul
all about a journey of another mom.

I immediately upon finishing the book had to hit the internet
in order to find a way to help.

One of the most amazing ways I found was to purchase these incredible handmade
necklaces for Christmas gifts for my 3 daughters!

Now I have to show the necklaces off to you so that you too
can help

check out the incredible store that helps women provide for their families
in Uganda. Women who have been in hard places we can't even imagine
and are now working hard to change their futures!

Princess Chocolate Curls and her Story Blanket

Princess Chocolate Curls loves her stories,
she loves to have them told to her
she loves to imagine them
and she is beginning to realize that the Lord has
written one for her life as well.

She is also learning that every single person in this world has a story
and that each one is full of both bad and good things.

She prays often for the woman with a story who created her beautiful story blanket for her.
She knows that her story has a whole lot of hard,
but now, now that story is beautiful.

Chocolate curls knows this because her blanket is so beautiful!

and so... she creates stories, tells stories and remembers stories upon her blanket every single day.

 thank you once again
for a beautiful and amazing

Sunshine gets BRAVE

Once upon a time, there was a little girl...

Her name is Princess Sunshine.
She is so very loved, so very cherished and is the littlest princess in the Kingdom.

Though she had many protectors (lots of big brothers!)
Princess Sunshine still has many fears things like; spiders, bees,  mommy not with her, anyone she didn't know talking to her and most especially being on her own to go to sleep every night.

Mommy was heartbroken to see her little Sunshine struggle so,
then... Mommy had an idea.

A treasure was made, across the world, by another "girl" who had to find her bravery too, and so  Princess Sunshine discovers hers with her brand new (but not so new in the best way)

handmade by an incredibly brave lady.
(You must visit their site to see all about how and why these quilts are fashioned.)

Mommy tells Sunshine how each stitch made this incredible lady somewhere far far away braver and braver to face all that is hard and scary.

So that with all that bravery stitched into it, she too can face this sometimes
scary world and be a strong and brave little lady always remembering that each moment of her life
Jesus is taking care of her,
and He wants her to rest all her fears into HIM and He will make her brave!

I tell her how we will keep her bravery blanket close by so that when she needs to remember her bravery, it'll be right there to help her on her way...

Oh my Sunshine Princess, may you ALWAYS know you are safe and loved and so so brave. May this blanket always be a reminder to you that no matter how dark and difficult the trial, with your Lord taking care of you; you may always be brave

I must also point out, that while posing for her BRAVE girl pictures,
Princess Sunshine is also wearing a headband from
  Banded
Banded works along side
to provide meals to
those in desperate need in Uganda!
Be sure to check them out too!
